Tabula Medica — Privacy Policy

Tabula Medica ("we," "us") helps you gather, organize, and share your own health records. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We designed the app to be privacy-first: you control your data.

Information we collect

• Account information you provide, such as your email address.
• Health information you add or import — records, documents, and summaries you choose to bring into the app.
• Usage and device information — basic, aggregated data (such as app version and error logs) to keep the app working.

How we use information

We use your information only to provide the service: to store, unify, summarize, and let you share your records at your direction. We do not sell your personal or health information, and we do not use it for advertising.

How information is shared

• At your direction — for example, when you generate or send a summary to a person you choose.
• Service providers who help us operate the app (such as secure cloud hosting), under contracts that require them to protect your data.
• Legal compliance — when required by law or to protect safety and rights.

Security

We use encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and other safeguards to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data and limit access to it.

Your choices and rights

You can access, correct, export, or delete your information from within the app or by contacting us. Deleting your account removes your records from the active service, subject to limited retention required by law.

Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service, then delete or de-identify it, except where longer retention is required by law.

Children

Tabula Medica is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

We may update this policy and will post the new effective date here.
